scores that tell stories

OkCello’s music helps to tell the stories of narrative projects across all artistic disciplines: Film, TV, Socials, Theatre, Dance, Fashion, and Spoken Word.

In addition to performing and producing engaging concerts for all kinds of audiences, OkCello also enjoys composing music for a variety of different narrative projects. He has composed for theater companies, dance companies, aerialists, news papers, TV programs, museums, universities, and film producers.

While most of his compositions are cello centric and revolve around either a solo cello a cello ensemble, he does work with other composers that bring a diversity of instrumentation and genre to a project.

Below are a few highlights from projects he has done over the last few years.

OkCello scored this Emmy award winning documentary on the gruesome murder of an elderly church couple in rural Georgia and the unfortunate mistaken identity of who was originally accused of the crime.

This clip is excerpted and collaged from footage of the performance Belly, a piece choreographed by Elizabeth Dishman of Dishman + Co Choreography and performed by the company of the same name. The same choreography was set twice to two different pieces. The first was Bach’s “Solo Violin Sonata No. 2 in A minor,” performed live by Adrian Ong, and the 2nd was OkCello’s original score for the piece.
